Our Mission

Our goal is to help you to save as much as possible on a stay in the hotel of your choice. We do this by comparing the availability and prices of different online hotel suppliers. The first step in the direction of the current hotelcomparison website was taken in 2003 when we started a website at which only one supplier could be found. After a while it became clear to us that there enormous price differences between the different suppliers for the very same hotelroom at the same dates. As each online hotelsupplier decides for itself which price to charge to its customers.

A comparison between the different parties would make those differences visible at which our team of 10 specialist started to develop Lookandbook.com. One of the most important prerequisites that had to be fulfilled was that our comparison should be fast. The rapidity of comparison was an aspect that we could definitely improve on when compared to our direct competitors. And we think we succeeded in doing so: It only takes us a few seconds in presenting you the available hotels.

Taking our hotel comparison to the next level is something we strive after every day. We are constantly adding new hotels to the list to offer you a larger pool of hotels you can choose from. And we are convinced that almost every stay is related to the surroundings of that particular hotel. People stay at a hotel because they have a certain interest in staying in a particular area. That's why we offer a great number of extensive city guides which you can read through in order to make the most of your stay.

Our Philosophy

By means of our comparison you are able to save money on your stay. We are there to make sure that you never pay too high a price for your hotelroom, making your stay, whichever hotel you choose, affordable. Below we will explain how we do this.

More often than not the same hotelroom is offered by several suppliers (online hotel agents) at different rates. This is because each supplier has made its own price agreements with a hotel.
This practice results in large price differences even though it's the exact same room and the exact same bed you sleep in! To provide insight into those differences LookandBook has listed prices and availability of the major online agents so that you can easily pick the lowest price available."

How Lookandbook.com works

What makes Lookandbook special is the speed at which the different suppliers are being compared. Most of your queries are being processed in less than four seconds so that you can proceed choosing the lowest priced hotel available. You can check for availability either on city level or on the hotel level. In both cases you will be shown availability that is far larger than when you would have consulted the sites of the suppliers individually. After you have checked the availability you can choose the supplier of your choice after which you will be redirected to their website where you can finish your reservation.

If you are looking for available hotels in a specific city you can state your preferences by making use of our advanced search option. You can make a selection based upon star class and hotel amenities. By clicking the "City Info" tab on the city page you will find a wealth of information about the city of your choice allowing you to discover all the attractions in the vicinity of your hotel. Nearby attractions are also shown on the hotel page (the page that covers one hotel only).
